Talk to Tahan Jones on the Fictionville blog

Unspeakable by Tahan Jones

When it cannot be spoken out loud
When uttering it blackens the face into contorted mask of pain
When its words exposes the rot that is spreading throughout civilization
When its words company actions of the most despicable deeds sound like songbirds dancing in a tree
When language is the perfume spray over decaying corpses
When adults tell it as a bedtime story to frighten children to sleep
When children whisper it to each other in a hidden corner on the playground
When one speaks truth to power
And power speaks back in utter silence
